Cheap Payday Loan
Good evening ladies and gentlemen, I’m Gina Gerrity with WPLR the home of your Payday Loan Report. Today we bring to you another scandal in the world of online payday loans. Whether you are looking for a payday loan in the United States or a Payday Loan Canada style, it seems that everyone is charging money. Why can’t they just offer a cheap payday loan?
Cheap Payday Loan Woes
Our story today comes from a small town in the Midwest. It’s the story of Fred the Florist. Fred works hard day after day. Sometimes he doesn’t have enough cash to make it from payday to payday. He’ll find himself in need to pay a phone bill or buy some groceries and know that his checking account is drier than a cactus. Fred, can you tell me what happened when you went to look for a cheap payday loan?
“Why, yes ma’am. I went to go apply for a cheap payday loan that I saw on the internet. They said it was cheap and I expected it to be like that after I filled out the online payday loan application.”
“And I take it that it was expensive, Fred?”
“Expensive? No.. in fact, it hardly cost me anything, all things considered. I mean, when I bought my truck, the bank charged me interest. I didn’t like paying it, but I knew that was the only way that the bank employees would be able to make a living.”
“Well the payday loan store normally charges you 10-30 percent interest for their so-called cheap payday loan!”
“Oh yeah, they did. Acutally, my cheap payday loan was on the lower side of that. I just didn’t feel the pinch too much on it because I applied for the ez payday loan and it went pretty smooth. I even qualified for the payday loan no faxing required option, so I got my money pretty quickly. And though they charged me interest, it was only one payday away before I had to pay it back.”
Cheap Payday Loan “Whoah’s”
“Fred, I invited you on this show because you said you had evidence that the cheap payday loan wasn’t all it was made up to be.”
“You’re absolutely right. I was shocked when I got my so-called cheap payday loan. It wasn’t at all what I expected.”
“Oh, so they didn’t give you all the money you needed when you appliedyou’re your cheap payday loan? They sucked you in with one of their $1000 payday loan lines and all you qualified for was $100?”
“No, I didn’t apply for the full $1000 this time. I’ve done that before though, but I was hoping to avoid it since this was supposed to be a cheap payday loan. Yes, they wouldn’t let me at first, but when I had taken some smaller loans first - like the time I had to pay $200 to the muffin man for eating the Gingerbread Man – they people at the payday loan store seemed to be pretty understanding. I just wanted a few chicks to carry me through.”
“Ah I see, you wanted a cheap payday loan so you could impress the lady friend. You wanted to make a good showing and the payday loan company suckered you in, ruining your chance to impress the fox.”
“Acutally, I’m the fox. I was trying to impress the vixen.”
“What? You are a fox? How did you get on this show?”
“I told you that I had a problem with the cheap payday loan at the store and you said you wanted me to come on your show.”
“What problem? You sound like you are advertising for a cheap payday loan – trying to make everyone go and apply for them.”
“Not at all. I’m disappointed in mine. I put in my application and all they did was deposit money in my account. I was really hoping for some chicken for dinner.”
“Chicken? Fred, wherever did you get that impression?”
“I was trying to find a ‘cheep’ payday loan.”
“Ladies and gentlemen, while we work this situation out, please enjoy our complimentary showing of ‘B’rer Rabbit.’ This has been Gina Gerrity trying to report on the cheap payday loan in the WPRL Payday Loan Report. Good night.”
